Bed levelling operations - Chichester Harbour

Mariners are advised that bed levelling of Sandhead bank, located northeast of the East Head anchorage, is due to commence Wednesday 10th February 2010 at Chichester harbour in the UK.

Bed levelling will be undertaken by the 16m tug Adurni, which will monitor VHF channels 14 and 16.

Work will be undertaken on ebb tides, throughout the 24 hour period, and will continue for a period of one week.

Adurni will be restricted in her ability to manoeuvre, and will displays the lights and shapes prescribed by the collision regulations. Mariners are requested to give this vessel a wide berth.

A further notice will be issued on completion of the work.
