Andy Tagg joins HR Wallingford

Andy Tagg has joined HR Wallingford as Principal Engineer in their Coasts, Rivers & Water Resources Department. The move sees him return to Wallingford after a thirteen year spell as Principal Hydrologist in the Environment & Quality Department at ThamesWater.

Tagg brings a wealth of water company experience to his role at Wallingford. In the last year he has represented EUREAU on the Heavily Modified Water Body working group for the implementation of the Water Framework Directive. He was also leading the Integrated Water Resources Management project for the CEO Panel presentation at the World Water Forum this March in Kyoto.

Initially, he will be HR Wallingford's Project Manager for the EU-LIFE demonstration project SMURF (Sustainable Management of Urban Rivers and Floodplains), which will develop a new urban land-use and water management system for the River Tame in Birmingham.Andy is a member of ICE and the Treasurer for the Central Southern branch of CIWEM.
