New equipment for Leonardo da Vinci Equipment & Technology

Port Louis Maritime Corporation Ltd, a member of the Jan de Nul Group of Companies located in Mauritius, has awarded IHC Systems an order to provide new stand-alone dredging automation equipment on board of its cutter suction dredger Leonardo da Vinci.
The Leonardo da Vinci is one of the largest cutter suction dredgers in the world, and was built in 1986 at IHC Holland shipyard in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands. The dredge has a total installed power of 20,257kW.
The Leondaro da Vinci is currently operating in Abu Dhabi were she is deepening the Mina Zayed Channel.
IHC Systems will deliver new software and a dredging control console for the dredge in the second quarter of 2001.
