Soil improvement project in Nigeria awarded
Ballast Ham Dredging has been awarded a Euro 4 million subcontract for the supply and installation of vertical drainage in Escravos, Nigeria. The project starts on 01 July and is scheduled for completion in three months. The Soils & Shores business unitin the company will support the execution of the project.
The project involves supply and installation of 820,000m of short drains to a depth of some 20 metres and 1,200,000m of long drains to a depth of 42-48m.
The project will be executed with the rigs HV805, HV806 and HV807. The HV805 and HV806 are equipped with a high pressure jet installation to penetrate solid layers of sand.
