Licensing Authorities

The following overview lists public bodies around the North Sea whose responsibilities include the allocation of sand and gravel extraction licences and the provision of much statistical data on volumes and transport. These bodies also have additional responsibilities for harmonisation of aggregate extraction licensing and all relevant data and information management.

Together with these licensing authorities a database of current extraction licenses is maintained for the North Sea area. This database can be searched with a combined alphanumeric - geographical user interface:
